Piece of the Week: Maurice's Inferno

Starting off for my first blog post, I wanted to feature one of my older pieces entitled: Maurice's Inferno. I was inspired by the cover art of the song "Baby Say Goodbye" by Waaves, which also features an interesting looking cat. I love to create art inspired by my favorite music and when I listened to the band, Waaves' 2010 album; "King of the Beach" I felt the need to make a painting that represented my feelings towards their music. For this specific piece I decided to map out the design with pencil then go over the pencil with acrylic paint. I ended loving the way it turned out.
